Attending the opening of the program was Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Y - Vice Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Rector of HCMC Cadre Academy; leaders of faculties and offices, and lecturers and staff of HCMC Cadre Academy and civil servants and public employees of departments, agencies and branches of HCM City. Topic-based sessions are transmitted online via the Zoom platform with the assistance of the cabin interpretation system at the HCMC Cadre Academy.
The program will take place on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from March 19, 2024 to April 04, 2024 with topics: (1) Best practices of Corruption Measurements; (2) Global Governance: Structure and Collaborations; (3) Global Governance: Industrial Policy and WTO; (4) Artificial Intelligence and Public Ethics; (5) Urban Governance and Sustainability; (6) E-government and Good Governance.
On the afternoon of March 19, 2024, the program was connected online with KDI School of Public Policy and Management - Korea, one of the members of the Global Development Learning Network, with the topic "Best Practices of Corruption Measurements" presented by Professor Jin-Wook Choi - Professor at KDI School of Public Policy and Management, Korea.
The Global Learning and Development Network is a system of the World Bank that links more than 100 training institutions over the world, carrying out educational missions worldwide in diverse fields, notably that of public management. Ho Chi Minh City Development Learning Center, whose predecessor was the City Distance Training Center Project, joined the Global Development Training Network in 2005. On May 24, 2021, HCMC Cadre Academy officially took over the Development Learning Center from the City Department of Culture and Sports pursuant to Decision No. 888/QD-UBND of March 15, 2021 by the Chair of the HCMC People's Committee. The development goal of the HCMC Development Learning Center (HDLC) is to become a center specializing in online and offline soft skills training in Ho Chi Minh City, organizing short-term training courses domestically and internationally, providing information, documents and means for those interested in international integration, the priority group of whom are cadres, civil servants and public employees and entrepreneurs in Ho Chi Minh City.
